What is CoolFileTools?

CoolFileTools is a collection of 21 free browser-based utilities for working with images, audio, video, documents, and code. Every tool runs entirely inside your web browser — nothing is uploaded to any server, and your files stay on your device at all times.

🔒 Your Privacy Is the Point

Most online file tools upload your files to a server, process them remotely, and send them back. That means your photos, documents, and data pass through someone else's infrastructure — and you're trusting their security practices and retention policies.

CoolFileTools is different by design. All processing uses browser APIs — the Canvas API for images, the Web Audio API for audio, the File API for reading files, and the Blob API for downloads. Your files are read into your browser's memory, processed there, and made available for download. They never travel over the network.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to the Network tab, and use any tool. You will see zero requests containing your file data.

CoolFileTools is supported by advertising and optional affiliate partnerships. When you see an ad on the site, that's what keeps the lights on. We don't sell data, require accounts, or charge for any tool — and we never will.
